European Weekend School 2009 "Europe's Others and Others's Europe"

Center for European Studies Student Forum (CESSF) cordially invites you to the 7th European Weekend School (EWS 2009) which will be held on 14 - 17 May 2009 in Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. EWS is an international certificate program that brings together undergraduate and graduate students from all over Europe together; and enables them to exchange opinions with distinguished politicians, bureaucrats, academics, representatives of NGO’s, and leading journalists. As we go through a period in which the European Union is in a self-defining process with the new member states, this year the main theme of EWS will be ‘Europe’s Others and Others’ Europe’. Formation of the Conference EWS 2009 will be executed on the principle of deliberative polling which is based on the idea of enabling every participant to involve directly to the discussion of topics in the student workshops and to merge the discussions of the students in the workshops with the speeches of the expert speakers. Application EWS 2009 is open to all university students who are pursuing an undergraduate or a graduate degree, to members of NGO's, and to the people from other institutions that are interested in the EU or in the main theme of the conference, regardless of their country of origin or their age.
